Jon Mayhugh

Jon Mayhugh is a partner with the firm. Jon is licensed to practice in Florida and North Carolina.

A Florida native, Jon was born in Tampa, and raised in Cape Coral, Florida. He attended the University of Central Florida, graduating cum laude with a BSBA in finance. He then went to work at Morgan Stanley in New York, New York, for several years, departing as a senior associate in their mutual funds and alternative investments sales group. After leaving finance, and just prior to attending law school, Jon worked as a director of a hunger focused non-profit in Lee County, Florida. After graduating from law school, he began his legal career in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, focusing on corporate transactions for startups and small businesses, including entity formation, intellectual property protection, and capital raising (private placements). Following his wife to Baltimore, Maryland while she completed her post-doctoral fellowship, Jon began working in-house for Johns Hopkins University’s Technology Ventures group, the entrepreneurial arm of their technology transfer and licensing office.
